Sarmato (Piacentino: Särmat) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Piacenza in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 160 kilometres (99 mi) northwest of Bologna and about 15 kilometres (9 mi) west of Piacenza. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,714 and an area of 27.0 square kilometres (10.4 sq mi).
