Cropani is a comune and town in the province of Catanzaro in the Calabria region of Italy.
The comune is located 10 km (6.2 mi) from the sea and 13 km (8.1 mi) from the Sila. Two frazioni are part of the municipal territory: Cropani Marina and Cuturella di Cropani. According to tradition, on 831 AD the ship carrying the relics of Mark the Evangelist from Alexandria to Venice found refuge on the coasts of Cropani. In gratitude, the captain gave the city a relic preserved in its Romanesque Collegiate.
